1. Psychoanalysis, Psychotherapy and Clinical Psychology
Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy
My twofold training, as both a psychologist and a psychoanalyst, has allowed me, from the very beginning of my research career, to carry out studies focused on psychoanalysis, its evolution, its theoretical offshoots and its consequent therapeutic applications, its socio-cultural connections but also its continuous exchanges with experimental psychological sciences. This has prompted me to outline a new personal and original psycho-physiological theory of psychic functioning. Confrontation and integration with the contribution of experimental psychology, developmental psychology (particularly in those dealing with the perinatal phases) and social psychology have been constant in the above mentioned fields. These research studies are the major part of my work and are applied in my clinical practice.
My psychoanalytically-oriented works are gathered according to their specific focus on different areas of research. Following below is a summary of the most significant ones.
